b-Foam Series

Overview

b-Foam utilizes granular ferric oxide (GFO) materials widely recognized for their high affinity toward arsenic, mercury, and lead. These active particles are securely integrated into the foam scaffold, forming a three-dimensional reactive matrix with high accessible surface area and excellent mechanical integrity.

The foam’s open-cell architecture enables uniform fluid distribution and a tortuous flow path, enhancing contact time and maximizing contaminant removal efficiency while maintaining low hydraulic resistance.

Performance Advantages

  • Heavy Metal Reduction: Effectively removes As(III/V), Cd²⁺, Cu²⁺, Hg²⁺, and Pb²⁺ through adsorption and surface complexation mechanisms.
  • High Absorptive Capacity: Engineered to deliver sustained removal performance over long service intervals.
  • Low Pressure Drop: Reticulated structure promotes laminar flow and prevents clogging or channeling.
  • Chemical Stability: Maintains performance under varied pH and ionic strength conditions.
  • Customizable Iron Loading: Iron oxide content and foam density tailored to specific system designs and treatment goals.
